Donald Vestal DVM
Veterinarian: Dr. Vestal attended Texas A&M University earning his BS in Veterinary Science in 1973 and graduating Cum Laude with his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1974. He immediately came to work at Dodd Animal Hospital (in the neighborhood where he and his wife grew up) and over the next 40 years enlarged, expanded, modernized and updated with the latest veterinary technology, building this hospital into a state-of-the art medical facility. Married to his high school sweetheart, Liz, they have three children, Sarah married to Aaron, Joshua married to Valerie and Michael, a student and 4 beautiful grandchildren. The Vestals also have 2 Labrador Retreivers and 4 cats.
Jonathan Dyes DVM
Veterinarian: Dr. Dyes was born in Corpus Christi, Texas and grew up in Louisiana. He attended Louisiana State University and then transferred to Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Dyes has been a veterinarian since 1993. He has 2 sons, a 21 year old and 13 year old. Dr. Dyes is an avid fisherman. He loves to cook and Latin Music. He also loves his job.
Tim Kretzschmar DVM
Veterinarian: Dr. Tim is a 2012 graduate of Free University Berlin, Germany. Following vet school he took the opportunity to pursue a doctoral research degree at the Texas A & M College of Veterinary Medicine. It was in College Station where he met his wife Monica. In 2015 they moved to Denver, CO where Dr. Tim worked at a 24 hour small animal emergency practice. His professional interests encompass everything related to companion animal medicine in general and surgery in particular. As a fan of the outdoors, Dr. Tim is convinced that time off is best spent fishing, hunting, working on a car or riding motorcycles. He's also been known to enjoy a good wine or bourbon on occasion. Dr. Tim and his wife share their home with Kitkit the cat and Willie the dog, as well as two chickens named Jokel and Ono.
Surgical Technician: Donna has been in the vet field for 42 years. She has been married for 35 years. Donna has 1 son, 1 Daughter, 3 grandchildren, 4 cats and 1 dog.
Technician: Floyd came to work for Dodd bringing year of technician experience. He and his wife are the proud parents of three terrific children. Most of his "off time" is spent keeping them occupied.
Technician: Pete has worked in vet med for the past 7 years. He has worked in emergency, internal medicine and general practice. Pete has an associates degree in applied health science and nursing. He proudly served in the U.S. Army for 8 years: Airborne Infantry. His hobbies include playing his guitar, driving his jeep, skydiving and spending time with his daughters.
Technician: Shea was born and raised in Colorado. She has been working in the vet field for the past 5 years. She recently moved to San Antonio. Shea has 3 dogs and 1 cat. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband and animals.
Technician: After traveling the states for the last 10 years Theresa decided to come back to her home state of Texas. She has been in the industry for 5 years. Theresa loves being an advocate for our patients and educating our clients. After a busy day with her work family she enjoys snuggling with her husband, their 4 kids, 3 dogs and 1 cat.
Receptionist: Lydia has been in the veterinary field for 16 years. She has been with DAH since August 2003. Her pets include 2 dogs, Pickles & Bella and 1 cat, Louie. Lydia has 2 grown children, 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. In her free time she enjoys listening to music, dancing and spending time with family.
Receptionist: Kerbi has been in the veterinary field for 3 years and started working for Dodd Animal Hospital in January 2018. She is a mother of three handsome boys, Lakyn (9), Tragen (6), and Laith (5). Kerbi also has her hands full with 4 dogs, Max, Roux, Bronx, and Chigger. She also has 3 bearded dragons, Lava, Everest, and General. In her free spare time she enjoys spending time with her boys and relaxing at home.
Accounts Receivable: Mary Ann has had several long-term jobs, including 32 years at USAA, 9 years with a flower business and with DAH for the last 6 years. She loves people and animals and staying busy. Mary Ann has 2 grown sons and 4 grandchildren.

Groomer: Becky has been grooming since 1990 and has been with Dodd Animal Hospital since 2005. She has a Pitbull named Cooper and a cat named Zoe. She has one son, a high school student and competitive swimmer. Becky enjoys reading, going to the movies and swimming.
