Meet Our Team

MEET OUR TEAM !

Donald Vestal DVM;

Veterinarian: Dr. Vestal attended Texas A&M University earning his BS in Veterinary Science in 1973 and graduating Cum Laude with his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1974.  He immediately came to work at Dodd Animal Hospital (in the neighborhood where he and his wife grew up) and over the next 35 years enlarged, expanded, modernized and updated with the latest veterinary technology, building this hospital into a state-of-the art medical facility.

Married to his high school sweetheart, Liz, they have three children, Sarah married to Aaron Fox, Joshua soon to be married to Valerie and Michael, a student at Texas A&M - and the newest addition to the family - a beautiful little granddaughter, June Elizabeth Fox.  The Vestals also have 2 Labrador Retreivers, Luke and Hunter, two English Setters, Echo and Styx, and four cats, Kiki,Gracie, Leo and Alice.

Dr. Vestal's special veterinary interests are orthopedics, surgery and dermatology.  In his spare time he enjoys hunting and fishing

 

Donna Robbins;

Surgical Tech: Donna has been in the veterinary field for 32 years and has been with Dodd Animal Hospital since 1977. Her pets include four dogs, a Yorkie mix, Doberman,Mastiff,Siberian Husky and a corn snake. She has been married for 23 years and has two children. Her 21 year old son attends Sam Houston State College in Huntsville and her 19 year old daughter attends Texas Lutheran University in Seguin.

Mary Jo Konop;

Head Tech: Mary has been in the veterinary field for 17 years and has been with Dodd Animal Hospital since April 1999. Her pets include two dogs, A Great Pyrenees named Rilee and a Collie/Shepherd mix named Kruzer. She also has three cats : MooMoo, Rigsby, Jersey and an Amazon Parrot named Seymore.

Education: High school graduate, 17 years on the job training and 5 years of grooming experience

Veterinary interests: " I enjoy the technical aspects of this job. I enjoy drawing blood , putting in catheters and running bloodwork."

Evelyn LaFredo:

Tech: Evelyn has been in the veterinary field for 20 years and has been with Dodd Animal Hospital since January 2003. She has four German Shepherds: Dyno, Bronco, Princess, and Nala. She also has five cats: Whoopi, Gremlin, Too Cute, DB, and Goofy Girl, a horse named Chooey and two Amazon Parrots Milly and Lorenza. Her two sons Derrick 24 who works in the AC plumbing field and Michael 22 who is in law enforcement. Her interests include anything outdoors.

Lisa Goodspeed-Banta:

Receptionist: Lisa has been in the veterinary field for 7 years and has been working for Dodd Animal Hospital since January 2002. Her pets include 5 dogs , 4 cats , a number of birds , turtles, reptiles and fish ponds. Her oldest ball python is 25 years old. All of her dogs and cats are rescues that came into her family thru Dodd Animal Hospital. She has been married for 13 years and all of her children have fur, fins,scales or feathers. When she is not at work she enjoys creating water gardens and fish ponds. She also builds an amazing yard display every halloween turning her yard into a haunted scene. She also rescues stray animals and attempts to rehome them..only she usually ends up keeping them.

Lydia Arredondo:

Receptionist: Lydia has been in the veterinary field for 11 years and has been working for Dodd Animal Hospital since August 2003. Her pets include 3 dogs , Hot Dog, Pickles, and Peanut. She also has a cockatiel named Tweetie. Lydia is single with two older children and 5 grandchildren. In her free time she enjoys listening to music, dancing and spending time with her family.

Becky Cain:   

Groomer:  Becky has been grooming since 1990 and has been with Dodd Animal Hospital since 2005. She has two dogs a Pitbull named Cooper and a Toy Poodle named Mitzie and a cat named Zoe. She has one son a high school student and competitive swimmer. Becky enjoys reading, going to the movies and swimming.

Education: High school graduate and many years of on the job training.
